While the former lets you transfer your files from your iPod, iPhone, or iPad to your computer and vice versa, the latter allows you to create and edit your own ringtones using your favorite audio tracks.
If you happen to be a former user of any or both of these applications, you will find that there are no features exclusive to this new package, except for the nicely-designed initial screen that will let you select between the two tools. Both applications benefit for Tipard’s well-designed and intuitive interfaces, which not only guide you through all the necessary steps, but also offer you oversized icons and clear screens to make it simpler for anyone to use and enjoy these tools. This makes this bundle a good option for inexperienced users.

The version included here is the Standard Version – a standalone Platinum version also exists, and it comes with a bunch of other useful utilities. The version reviewed here supports all the various types of iPods known to date, from Classic to Touch and from Shuffle to Nano, as well as the old and new iPhones and most iPad models (the new iPad 2012 is not listed). Specifically devised to move your multimedia files back and forth between your Apple devices and your computer without having to go through iTunes, you can also use this program to convert non-Apple text, audio, and video files into formats that your iPod, iPhone, and iPad can handle.
iPhone 4 Ringtone Maker supports all the most widely used audio formats out there (WAV, MP3, Ogg, WMA, RAM, AC3... you name it), and it can create M4R ringtone files not only from any of them but also out of the soundtrack of any of your DVDs. The extraction and conversion tasks are performed in one seamless process, allowing you to listen to and edit the selected audio fragment as many times as needed before finally transferring it to your iPhone.
All in all, a nice combination of two useful and simple tools to help you make the most of your Apple mobile devices in a non-Apple environment.
